My name is Josh Meltzer, and I would like to welcome you to Zenwood Designs. I have spent the last 40+ years working in the film industry as a Prop Master and designer. After a long stressful day on the set, I love to relax in my woodshop. It is where I find my zen place. So Zenwood Designs is an extension of my passion for woodworking. Having just recently purchased him a basic toddler loft bed, we were reluctant to buy a new one so soon. We decided to find someone who had the skills to transform his current bed into a little boy's dream bed. Having worked with Josh for several years, I knew that he had the skills to take on an ambitious project. We went over the design, and when it was finished, Josh had created something far more elaborate than we could have envisioned. Josh not only built a beautiful fire truck facade for our existing bed but added special features and details to make it earthquake and toddler-proof. He even added height so that as my son grows, the bed will still be functional. To say that we are pleased with his design and the quality of his work is an understatement.
